What is the difference between AI and traditional animation?
With traditional animation or claymation, everything is done frame by frame, by hand or with the assistance of computers. It is traditionally an extremely slow, labor intensive and expensive process. With AI, creating the characters, elements and environments is really fast and anything your imagination can dream up is now within reach.

I am not a content creator who is playing with AI animation as a hobby. I have over 30 years of full-time professional experience as an editor and producer. I speak the same language as your creative team, so project workflow can be seamless when utilizing my skills as a freelance member of your creative group.
What are some limitations with AI?
Based on project timeline numbers so far, our ratio is about 10-15 hours per finished minute of animaton. That is crazy fast compared with what traditional animation required just a short time ago!
Can we deliver a 3D production at the same level as a "Toy Story" for example? No, but for a fraction of the cost and with a blazingly faster delivery time, this level of quality and creativity is a wonderful option!
In my experiences, currently working with AI will not give us exactly what we ask for 100% of the time. It can often produce several alternate options, camera moves, character mannerisms or movements, etc. that are sometimes not part of our original blueprint. But with a little flexibility we can work in collaboration with the AI, letting our creativity drive the ship, but also being open to new directions if the AI presents us with additional options. Using the best of both worlds, we can achieve something special!
My extensive experience as an editor, allows me to combine the options of what the AI is giving us, while at the same time coming up with solutions within scenes to make your story flow. So regardless of any limitations that we encounter working under the constraints of the current low cost / minimal labor AI model, we can deliver a high quality, inexpensive result.
What is the timeframe and labor needed to produce AI animation?
This technology continues to evolve, and like all aspects of AI, animation tools and capabilities seen to be changing on a daily basis. The level of quality is scary good, but like everything else in life, you typically get what you pay for. But when it comes to AI animation, the cost/quality ratio is off the charts, and getting better every day.
Most short form projects can be completed in one to two weeks, depending on schedule and availability.
I can work at an hourly rate with an estimated project budget, or we can also negotiate a per project cost that will lock in your budget with no surprises at completion and delivery.
